Eminen
I am a fan of Eminem, been liking his stuff since I was about 11 years old. He is one of those artist who went from literally nothing to becoming one of the biggest stars in the music industry. Eminem last month released his long awaited album, the MMLP2. It is a sequel to his 2002 the MMLP. I havent heard the full album, but I can already tell its gold. The song Rap God in his album basically shows why he is in fact the best rapper alive.
Hip hop and R&B
I dont really have a taste in music, but majority of the time I either listen to hip hop and R&B. The only time I do listen to music is when I am on a car ride going somewhere, or whenever I am home alone and want to block everything out. When I do listen to music I usually look for stuff that is hip hop and R&B.
Pink Floyd
We listened to the album The Darkside of the Moon, and at the same time watched the movie The Wizard of Oz. It was said that the album syncted in with scenes from the film. The band members said that the album had no relationship with the movie, that it was just a brief coincidence.
White Album
We listened to the Beatles ninth studio album, The White Album. The cover of this album is just a white image with the name The BEATLES. In this album Paul McCartney played the drums in 2 tracks because Ringo quit the band for a brief time.

Elvis
Soooo my mom is a HUGE Elvis fan. Every time before she goes to bed, she plays some of his songs, and when she wakes up, you hear her playing him again. I asked her why she liked him and she said "Because he is a very handsome man, and has an amazing voice." My mom has been a fan since last year February and is already a huge fan for him. She has probably gone through all of his albums.

The Who
We've been talking about The Who in class lately. I made a post not too long ago about The Who's Baba O'Riley and how I really enjoy that song. Another song I kinda enjoy from them is My Generation, Pete's solo is pretty sick. They are a pretty crazy considering Keith Moon, the drummer, once hid dynamite into his drum kit without the rest of the band knowing of it, later while on live TV, he detonate it, right near Pete. Even after the explosion, Pete continued to bash his guitar onto the floor, regardless if he was deaf or struck with shrapnel. But apart from what Keith Moon did, the band is pretty good, they sort of have the same style as The Beatles. Ill most likely still listen to them after we depart from them in class.
Playing My Generation on live TV, then Keith Moon detonates the dynamite near Pete.
Mind Of A Chef
Okay so last week on Friday we had a pep-rally, so pretty much half the class was gone for the day thus allowing Mr. A to play a show called Mind Of A Chef. This show follows a guy known as David Chang who travels the world and sees different cultures of food. Friday we watched an episode about Japan and how they server ramen. They transformed the little basic packet of ramen college students eat in their dorm, to something much more amazing, and worth tasting. There was this guy who was with David Chang, he went with him to a ramen shop, ordered the biggest ramen bowl, and couldn't eat it. David joked on how he couldn't finish it, while an old, small woman could. Overall this episode was pretty decent, though I only got to watch a little bit due to the pep-rally, but man this show will get you drooling. The food that they show on here is amazing.

ACL
ACL was this week. Man I would have loved to go but I am saving money for a trip. You had Muse, King of Leon, The Cure, Phoenix, Fun, and many many more. Though if I were to have gone to ACL, it would of been for Kendrick Lamar, Fun., and Kings of Leon. I don't really know much about Kings of Leon, but I've heard some songs of theirs, pretty sweet stuff. Kendrick Lamar, oh man, I know his stuff quite well. Hes currently one of my favorite rappers. I would have enjoyed going to see him perform M.a.a.d City live. Maybe next year.

Mitchell Brunings
Okay, well this guy isn't a celebrity, however, he was on The Voice Holland, and he covered Bob Marley's, Redemption Song.. and holy was it great! The judges couldn't even believe what they were hearing. Such an amazing voice. I am late on this video, though. It was released September 1, but that doesn't matter. Just that the guy is great. He covered the song very well, he even sounds like Bob Marley. My friend introduced this video to me and I was in awe. I don't really know much about Mitchell Brunings other than the fact that he CAN sing just by that one video. Ill most likely look more into him, but for now I leave you with his performance on The Voice Holland

A Hard Day's Night
Last week in class we finished watching A Hard Day's Night. It was a comedy movie that started The Beatles. Though I am not a big fan of white and black movies, this one, I was okay with. The jokes they made, such as the little old man (Paul's grandfather) making a joke about a woman's breast, or Ringo making a joke about Paul's family not being a human being and many more other jokes. Overall the film was great for me, made me laugh some parts. And it was really great how they introduced their music rather than someone else, like they do now.
This is the clip where Ringo makes that joke.

Monty Python
Last week we watched a video that was made by Monty Python, a British comedy group. The video was called The Black Knight. And I should say, it was quite funny. It was both stupid and funny. Good combo. Theres a part where after the Dark Knight, after getting both arms cut off, continued to fight his foe in a hilarious manner. Another thing that made it funny was how the Knights enemy reacted to him continuing to fight armless, saying "I already beat you, what are you doing (in a british accent). Other than that, I found this video funny.

Baba O'Riley
The Beatles
Well this week in class we finished watching the documentary of the Beatles, and I have to say, I really enjoyed watching it. I knew of the Beatles, but I never actually listened to any of their songs except until this week and last week, and man I have to say, I really enjoyed their stuff, honestly. My favorite song so far from them is She Loves you.Other than that, I really am enjoying the Beatles as well as rock & roll. My taste in music is expanding tremendously.
